Little Things That Kill - ABV: 3.4%
Little Things That Kill is an English Pale Ale from the Weird Beard Brewing Company in Hanwell, London.
According to the bottle, their philosophy is "No gimmicks, no crap and never knowingly under-hopped, just great handcrafted beer brewed in West London with the best ingredients, knowledge, respect for the process, and a little insanity".
Pouring well, with a thick, long lasting head and plenty of effervescence, initial impressions are good.
On the nose, an overriding citrusy grapefruit aroma dominates, with an underlying malty warmth.
The flavour is initially full-on fruit, but then it quickly stings the tongue with a bag of hops, giving a long, dry finish.
A well balanced hop bomb of a beer with bags of flavour and not too heavy on the alcohol. I really, really enjoyed this one...
Verdict: 4.5/5
