Bon Don Doon - ABV: 4.2%
Bon Don Doon is a pale ale from Wilson Potter Brewery in Middleton, north of Manchester. A lively little number that almost didn't make it to the glass - a fair bit of it ended up on the worktop.!
Its name apparently is taken from the name of a friend's childhood imaginary friend who lived in an air vent at Horwich Leisure Centre. She used to speak to him every day on her way to and from school... Obvious really.!!
The aroma is light and fresh citrus with a hint of malt. Quite subtle to be honest.
The flavour however is a bowl of fruit citrus, with bags of grapefruit freshness with a lovely, long, dry hoppy finish.
A delicious, refreshing session ale - highly recommended...
Verdict: 4/5
