Mary Rose - ABV: 4.2%
Mary Rose is a chestnut red bitter from Hornbeam Brewery in Denton, Manchester. Made using Amarillo and Cascade hops, the bottle promises a gentle sparkle, with hints of tangerines and summer flowers.
The aroma is definitely fruity and quite flowery - rather pleasant in fact, with a nice, creamy head that sadly didn't last long.
The flavour is fruity too, with deep citrus notes balancing the fragrant hoppiness to give a nice, well rounded session bitter that's not too dry.
Very nice and recommended.
Verdict: 3/5
